Welcome to Bethel United Methodist Church, a United Methodist community in Hiram, Georgia. Bethel has been a house of worship since the 1830's, when settlers first arrived in what is now Paulding County. In those days, a "bad rain" turned the dirt roads into mud, and folks walked to church because wagons would be stuck. Today, Hiram and Paulding County are among the fastest growing areas in the state. The area is a mix of new construction and ancient oaks, and the members of Bethel are both newcomers and third or fourth generation members.
Bethel offers a loving environment in which to encounter God, connect with others, and serve outside her walls. We support United Methodist ministries that are global and regional, as well as addressing needs within Paulding County.
Through worship, study, fellowship, missions, and community events; we seek to make and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ so that this world that God so loves wll be transformed into a place of grace, justice, mercy and love.
